2023 Ivy & Warren Chardonnay | Saunders Parcelle ‘Haut’, VQA Beamsville Bench Chardonnay which is from the westWe selected the Saunders Haut parcel in 2013 2014. Then we looked at another block just above it called Saunders South. And we also made wines from a block below it called Saunders Bas, which is adjacent to our Pinot Noir parcel. But more on that later! The 2023 vintage gave us a focused nose and a mellow kind of green plum, citrus fruited, briny character, along with tight thiol derived fruit and savoury mineral notes through the rich mid palate.
