Jean Gautreau Vintage:2005The 1996 Cuve Jean Gautreau is a blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc picked between September 23 and October 8. It has an attractive blackberry and iris bouquet, flecks of truffle and smoke emerging with aeration, and displays more charm than the 1995. This is certainly quite ripe but there is good tension and this should amply repay extended cellaring
