The chain is quite heavy with some weight to it. There are oval gold tone metal pieces that the chain is linked to and then the gold leather part of the belt. Good sturdy snaps on the back of the belt which can be adjusted a bit. The belt is a size Small. It is appx. 31" long. Some very small lose of color spots at the hemline in back which no one will see and I never noticed it until I was closely examining it and no one else will either as it is so far down
