Wittmann, Kirchspiel Riesling GG other_regions_italyThe 2020 Kirchspiel GG opens very clear, bright and chalky on the spicy, Chablis like nose that indicates a lovely complex Riesling from limestone rocks. Juicy, round and intense on the palate, this is a mouthful of wine with fine tannins and a generous nature. The finish is salty and vital, very long and complex and indicates great aging potential. Tasted in Wiesbaden at the end of August 2021.

with medium-bodied aromas and flavors of ripe black cherries

I quite like this and the sense of harmony is pronounced

focused and very long finish

I see quite ripe fruit here

and hints of spice and earth

Once again there is a whiff of exotic fruit to the white peach

They produce this wine from two plots totaling two hectares that they will start farming organically from 2017 onward

This is perfectly good but nowhere near as good as several other of the Giroud villages wines
