Vincent Girardin, Meursault Perrieres Blanc Vintage:2018A ripe and nicely fresh nose reflects notes of mineral reduction, pear, dried flowers and hints of white peach quinine, all of which is trimmed in admirably discreet wood nuances. The mouth coating and beautifully delineated medium weight flavors brim with minerality, all wrapped in a linear and penetrating finish where, much like the Charmes, a pungent salinity gradually emerges. This ever so mildly austere effort could use better depth, but the firm

iron and dried violet joining the herb accents on the lasting finish

and their daughters Gaia and Rossana increasingly involved

round and velvety big-bodied and muscular flavors that conclude in a sappy and caressing but imposingly powerful finish

with an intriguing sense of weightlessness that easily carries that swirl of flavors through the long

at once velvety and nicely delineated thanks to ripe

This is a markedly powerful effort

with the Grenache aged in concrete and the Mourvedre and Syrah in demi-muids (some new)
